Meet Shop Girl
When I left a career as a geologist to run a kitchen store, I was overwhelmed by the amount of product knowledge required. Even with a research background and a history of analyzing my own product purchases for the kitchen, it was challenging to know what to bring in to the store, what features customers wanted and what to suggest for specific cooking situations.
I developed these courses as a resource for my store, so that new staff would have consistent training, existing staff would have a way to refresh their knowledge, and I would have a central place to organize my research and experiences with the products on our shelves.
Turns out other kitchen store owners were also struggling with product selection and consistent staff training, so Ask Shop Girl was born!
